This is my favourite photo taken in 2009:
It is not because it is an amazing photo but because it is an amazing moment. Those 2 are my father-in-law (Beto) and his girlfriend (Mara). They are calmly walking down a street in Cabralia, looking for a place to buy fresh fish. Beto is wearing a white t-shirt, flip-flops, speedos and a Panama hat. How AMAZING is that? Moments like that are only possible in Brazil. It is a relaxed, casual and informal moment that represents what life in a beach town is all about. I have always taken moments like these for granted. I don't have these moments today. Isn't it true that absence makes the heart grow fonder? I certainly think it does.
